Terms of Service

Last updated: July 21, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Hometor website and services (the "Service") operated by Hometor Inc. ("Hometor," "we," "us"). By creating an account, browsing listings, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility & Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts in Canada to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

4. Listings & Transactions

Hometor is a marketplace that connects buyers and sellers directly. We are not a party to any transaction between users, we are not a real estate brokerage, and we do not represent either side in a negotiation. Listing content — including price, description, and photos — is provided by sellers, and we cannot guarantee its accuracy or completeness.

You are solely responsible for conducting your own due diligence, including property inspections, title searches, financing, and retaining qualified legal representation to close any transaction. Any agreement you reach through direct negotiation is between you and the other user.

5. Fees

Creating an account and publishing listings on Hometor is free. We may introduce optional paid features (such as promoted listings) in the future. Any paid features will be clearly disclosed before you are charged. Hometor never charges a commission on completed transactions.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, branding, and software, is owned by Hometor and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of content you submit (such as listings and messages), and grant Hometor a limited license to host, display, and process that content solely to operate the Service.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any listing is accurate. Use of the Service is at your sole risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hometor and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, arising from your use of the Service or any transaction conducted through it. Our aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount, if any, you paid to us in the prior twelve months.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of New Brunswick and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Brunswick.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
